Warner Bros. and DC are turning up the heat with the second trailer for The Batman, the new incarnation of the Dark Knight in cinemas. Where we see that the detective aspect is not forgotten…
The Batman, it is undeniably the big release of this beginning of the year for DC and Warner Bros. The film, which stars Robert Pattinson in the role of a Bruce Wayne at the beginning of his superhero career, will be released on March 2 at the cinema… If however the Omicron variant is willing to give cinemas a little respite.
Action and investigation
In a recent interview, Jason Kilar the boss of Warner Media hinted that the theatrical release of The Batman could be postponed if ever the pandemic continues to rage. While waiting to learn more, the studio has posted a new trailer for the blockbuster which focuses on the action, but also on the investigation that Batman will have to lead against the Riddler.
The atmosphere is deliberately dark with an “emo” hero, in the line of certain tortured Batman comics. We can see in the trailer some of the abuses of the Riddler, who is played by the disturbing Paul Dano. Batman will also have to face the Penguin (Colin Farrell who is hard to recognize behind the makeup).
Faced with adversity, Bruce Wayne will not go it alone. He will have by his side Bruce Pennyworth (Andy Serkis), who obviously hides a heavy secret, as well as with James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright). And above all, Batman will team up with Catwoman, of which Zoë Kravitz gives a rather convincing interpretation in this trailer.
