VOD News brings you the best new releases of the week on Netflix, HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+… And, yes, the arrival of SkyShowtime in Spain is by far the most relevant in recent days as far as video-on-demand content is concerned, so we welcome the service to the section, which, as usual, brings many other things, but from many, yes from other places.
As announced, from February 28 SkyShowtime is already available in Spain. You know this because it has been in the news throughout the week in a thousand and one places. Also here, in MC, where we have published several articles about it… and some more that will fall. In the meantime, we recommend five outstanding news that comes with the launch of the platform, starting with…
For a start, Tulsa King is the biggest recent success on SkyShowtime: a gangster story starring Sylvester Stallone himself, who in the United States unseated none other than the house of the dragon at its premiere, and that here it is “broadcasting” at the rate of one chapter a week, although the first season has already finished (the second is on the way). For now, you have the first three chapters to whet your appetite.
Yes sir: Halo It is one of the series that arrives in Spain with SkyShowtime and one that will be of great interest to lovers of science fiction, but above all of the, in all probability, exclusive Xbox franchise. A series whose first season you can now fully enjoy, if you’re interested in seeing the Master Chief in the flesh.
In third place is bosethe first Spanish production of SkyShowtime and one of the most outstanding in the premiere of the platform in Spain, and it is that as you may already suppose, it is a serialized biopic around Miguel Bosé, a peculiar character where there are them and one of the most international singers in the country’s recent history.
Another one that had to be mentioned yes or yes is Star Trek: Strange New Worldsa new series based on the universe treekie, but not just any: here are the adventures of the “original” crew of the USS Enterprise… before Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock took over. As it is. And, be careful, because it is one of the most valued franchise series of the last ones that have been released.
Fifth and last, it was almost mandatory to talk about yellowstonemore than a series, an entire franchise from which the companies that produce and distribute it are extracting oil: from the five seasons of the original series, a phenomenon in the United States, to spinofs as 1883 either 1923 (and those that are in the works), all starring top-level stars, from Kevin Costner to Harrison Ford.
