Last night Nintendo held a Nintendo Direct conference where the company unveiled its release schedule for its 2022 games. Check out all the new titles that have been announced.
The Nintendo Direct was an opportunity to unveil a few new games that will be coming to Switch consoles sometime in 2022. Probably the biggest announcement was the release in September 2022 of the flagship title Xenoblade Chronicles 3. This new story will follow the adventures of Noah and Mio in the middle of ” the turmoil between the hostile nations of Keves and Agnus “.
Nintendo also announced a new game Mario Strickers: Battle League, 15 years after the last title that was released on the Wii. The game will be available on June 10. The Nintendo Switch will also host by 2023 48 new circuits on the famous Mario Kart 8: Deluxe. 8 circuits will be available from March 18. These will not be available for free, since you will have to pay $ 24.99 or subscribe to the new Nintendo Switch Online + Additional Pack subscription to take advantage of them.
Wii Sport comes to Nintendo Switch
After the resounding success of the Wii Sport game on the console of the same name, Nintendo has finally unveiled a new opus specially designed for Nintendo Switch. For the occasion, new sports will be available such as football or badminton. It will be available on next April 29.
Some games will get a bit of extra free content this year, including Metroid Dread. Players can now enjoy a harder Dread mode and an easier Rookie mode. In April 2022, Metroid Dread will get a free Boss Rush mode. For his part, Kirby will soon be able to transform into a car in Forgotten Land.
Finally, Nintendo has also announced the arrival of less recent games on its Switch console.
