The iconic football game in the Mario universe returns to Nintendo Switch with a new opus, called Mario Strikers: Battle League Football.
Enthusiasts know that the universe of mario and his merry band is available in several areas of sporting skills: from Olympic sport, to golf, to car racing. Nintendo reminds us today that the plumber can also play football by unveiling a first trailer for Mario Strikers: Battle League Football. The return of an iconic license.
Always so crazy, this new opus transports us to a traditional football field, on which all shots are allowed to score a goal. In 5 vs. 5 games, or 4 vs. 4 maximum in local mode, you will play as one of the characters from the Mario universe and use special moves and your own abilities to lead your team to victory.
Tackle, fireballs, super jump or even glide, everything is good to get the ball into the cages, even the use of explosive or slippery objects. To improve your skills in the field, you will also have to go through the equipment improvement box. Buying new accessories will allow you to increase your performance in certain areas (speed, strength, etc.) and therefore better understand your opponents.
As for the online mode, you can also try your luck in a more competitive field, by joining an online club. This will allow you to access ranked games, the goal of which is to reach the first position. You can also personalize your jerseys, and invite your loved ones to fight by your side. In total, up to 20 players can join a club.
Price and release date
To discover this title, you will have to wait a few more months. Nintendo has set a release date for June 10. Mario Strikers: Battle League Football is already available for pre-order on the Nintendo website, or via Nintendo eShop on your Switch, for €59.99.
