Nothing announces the Ear 2, its new True Wireless headphones at 150 euros

Nothing has just unveiled its new True Wireless headphones, the Nothing Ear (2). With this iteration, the British brand resumes the formula established with the Ear (1) while making interesting technical changes.

Ear

In 2021, Nothing landed on the tech market with the Ear (1), very good quality True Wireless headphones sold at an affordable price (100 euros at launch). Two years later, the brand now well established in the landscape presents the new models, the aptly named Ear (2).

For this iteration, Nothing has played it safe by taking over the design of the Ears (1). We always have this transparent square case in which we find the two headphones of 4.7 grams, they are also transparent. Difficult to differentiate them from the first model visually speaking. The novelties are actually inside.

Nothing improves its formula with Nothing Ear (2)

On the technical side, Nothing indicates that its headphones are equipped with a dynamic driver of 11.6 mm and certified Hi-Res Audio. The interior has been revised with the use of two chambers in order to have a more impactful sound. All of this will have to be tested by listening. The other improvements are also interesting. From now on, Nothing includes dynamic active noise reduction (can be disabled) which automatically adjusts the ANC. For example, if there is noise around you, ANC is activated. In the street, it allows you to hear well while listening to its music. On paper, it’s a great idea.

Moreover, the voices are now better reproduced via the microphone, annihilating the surrounding noise when you are on the phone (Clear Voice technology). The app has been revised in order to give the user more choice in his profile settings (which was sorely lacking in the Ear 1). Another innovation: dual connection is supported. No need to reconnect your Ear (2) each time you change terminals, you can for example use them on both your PC and smartphone. Finally, note that these headphones are now IP54 certified, therefore resistant to water and dust.

Ear

The Nothing Ear (2) are already available on the manufacturer’s website. They are displayed at 149 euros, a significantly higher price than the Ear (1) when they were released (the latter have since increased). Of course, we will test them soon to give you your opinion.
