Nuki has announced the launch of the Smart Lock 3.0, a new generation of smart home locks that we had the opportunity to analyze in previous versions.
Nuki Home Solutions is one of the leading European providers of what we call home ‘smart access’ solutions. Although currently only 1.5% of European homes have these smart locks, there is no doubt that it is a technology in full growth, along with everything that comes from home automation and that it will not finish expanding until it achieves its objective: that we forget the physical keys.

The Graz-based firm is doing its part with a new generation that offers an entry model for a very economical price below the 150 euro barrier and a second “Pro” version that aims to set a new standard in its category. .
Nuki Smart Lock 3.0
Intended for users looking for a proven, reliable and economical smart lock, Nuki offers a new version with a knob made of high quality plastic, finished in white and compatible with all products in the company’s range of accessories. It is possible to manage it remotely via the Nuki Bridge, available as an additional option, to open the door with a numeric code on the Nuki Keypad or with a Nuki Fob, and expand it with a Nuki Power Pack.
Nuki Smart Lock 3.0 Pro
The top version has a stainless steel knob and includes the Power Pack. It is available in black and white finishes and has an integrated Wi-Fi connection, which takes over the function of the Nuki Bridge, allowing direct connection to the Internet. Through wireless connectivity, users can access the smart lock anytime, anywhere, allowing them to integrate it into their smart home system.
Both versions are compatible with a wide variety of home automation systems known as the Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, IFTTT and others. Like the previous versions, the 3rd generation of the Nuki Smart Locks has been certified as «Safe product for smart home»By the renowned German test institute AV-Test.
Nuki offers a set of accessories for complement your electronic locks, such as the external Nuki Door Sensor that provides information on the status of the door through the application, indicating whether it is closed or open. If configured, the Nuki app also sends a warning when the door is locked or when it remains open longer than predefined.
Another accessory is intended for those who want to improve home security as it is a universal cylinder, which can be individually adjusted to fit most doors. The cylinder has been developed in collaboration with the company M&C and is certified under the standards of the SKG safety regulations (3 stars).
The company has also announced a new upgrade program for current customers, which will be available from February 2022. Those who want to upgrade their current Nuki smart lock will receive the new external Nuki Door Sensor for free when purchasing a Nuki Smart Lock 3.0 Pro. Also, the old device can be kept and continue to be used in another door.
