Numbers, Pages, and Keynote are updated to version 12.1

The suite of office applications that is integrated into macOS, iWork, has just received a new update, adding some improvements to its three applications: numbers, pages Y key note.

Unless you are looking for full compatibility with the files of the Microsoft office, you don’t need to have Word, Excel and PowerPoint installed on your Mac. For example, I use Pages to write. I have more than enough, and I don’t need to spend money on a Microsoft app. Instead, for the spreadsheets, I work with Excel, because then I can use the same files on my iMac at home, and on the PC at the office, without having to import and export. Now the Apple package has received a new update with some interesting improvements.

Apple has just released new versions of its three applications of iWork. While Numbers has only gotten better in performance, Pages and Keynote have gotten some additional new features.

Two months after releasing version 12 of its three productivity apps, Apple has released a version 12.1 that brings performance improvements and some new features. Initially released versions for iOS and iPadOS, those for macOS Monterey also just updated.

The new one version 12.1 of Numbers is the least significant. Apple only says in its update note that you get “better performance when inserting rows and columns into large tables.”

Instead, Pages does incorporate three new features. With the first, you can now use mail merge to quickly create personalized letters, cards, and envelopes for multiple different recipients.

With the second, then select from new templates for event invitations and student certificates. And the third is that from now on you can export the documents of pages as TXT files.

Let’s see what’s new in update 12.1 of key note. One is that you can now add subtle movement and visual interest to your presentation, with dynamic backgrounds that move continuously as you move from slide to slide. And another novelty is that from now on you can skip or highlight all the slides of a selected group.

Both versions 12.1 of the three applications, Pages, Numbers and Keynote are now available at iOS, iPad OS Y macOS so you can install them on your Apple device.
