NVIDIA DLSS enhances the God of War PC experience

Already one of the most anticipated releases of this month, the release of God of War on PC arrives in style thanks to NVIDIA, which has released the drivers to optimize the game even under your most demanding requirements. And it is that starting today, users with GeForce RTX graphics cards will be able to benefit from the improvements of NVIDIA DLSS and Reflex technologies.

Thanks to NVIDIA’s DLSS technology it will allow larger features achieve higher resolutions without sacrificing performance, enhancing the graphics of undemanding games by rendering images at higher resolutions and then reducing them to screen size, smoothing out graphics and delivering higher quality images. In this way, once this technology is activated, the performance of God of War will be enhanced by up to 45% at 4K resolution, allowing gamers to use more demanding graphics settings and enjoy higher frame rates per second.

But that’s not all, and this port also adds other NVIDIA technologies such as ReflexBy offering a low-latency experience and support for widescreen gaming on ultra-wide 21:9 monitors that helps reduce the response time from when the player presses a key until the action is reflected in the game, we will be able to notice a latency reduction of up to 22%.

In addition, NVIDIA has also added some special FreeStyle filters for God of War, accessible by pressing Alt+F3 while playing the game when the GeForce Experience overlay is activated, being able to choose between:

  • SSRTGI (Screen Space Ray Traced Global Illumination), also known as “Ray Tracing ReShade Filter”, which enhances lighting and shadows to create a sense of depth and realism.
  • SSAO (Screen Space Ambient Occlusion), which emphasizes shadows near intersections of 3D objects, especially indoors and in dimly lit environments.
  • Dynamic DOF (Depth of Field), which applies a bokeh-style blur based on the proximity of objects in a scene, giving the game a more cinematic feel.

On the other hand, remember that the port will support full compatibility with DualShock 4 and DualSense controllers natively, although if we prefer, it will also be possible to play with a mouse and keyboard, with a new optimization of controls that will even allow us to fully customize the combinations. of all keys.

As we anticipated in our monthly release list, this port was released earlier this month on both the main PC platforms, Steam and Epic Games, under a price of 49.99 euros.
