From the RTX 20XX generation to the 30XX, Nvidia graphics cards experienced a nice progression in terms of performance. The 40XX series continues in the same vein. The new GeForce RTX 4080 It is thus ahead of the RTX 3080 of 2020 by a good margin. Its performance is even higher than that of the RTX 3090 Ti.
Logically, Nvidia has also revised its prices upwards. The first two references of the new generation Ada Lovelace are the RTX 4080 and 4090. The first is displayed at a price close to that of the RTX 3090 at launch.
Where to buy the GeForce RTX 4080 at the best price?
So we start with the Founders Edition of the GeForce RTX 4080. Less than a month after its launch on November 16, 2022, Nvidia announced a price drop of around 5%. Its recommended price has therefore gone from €1469 to €1399 at the beginning of December. But the graphics card is out of stock despite its very high price. This means that it is still in high demand.

GeForce RTX 4080 Features and Performance
As we stated in the introduction, the RTX 4080 offers very high performance. It’s comfortable enough to handle any recent AAA game at 4K. You are guaranteed to enjoy a solid framerate with or without ray tracing. And if ray tracing is even better managed on this new generation, it is above all the DLSS 3.0 which works wonders.
During our test of the RTX 4080 (Founders Edition), we found that performance was at least doubled at 4K. For example, we go from 55 fps on average on Flight Simulator to 130 fps when DLSS 3.0 is activated. The performance boost is even more impressive with Cyberpunk 2077. The framerate was simply multiplied by 4 with DLSS.
To compare it with the RTX 3000, the RTX 4080 is more powerful than the RTX 3090 Ti, the ultimate of the previous generation. In fact, the new graphics card is 13.5% more efficient than the RTX 3090 Ti in 4K. The gap widens when we compare it with the RTX 3080 since it dominates it by almost 60% on average.
