The leaked just a moment ago reveals that NVIDIA plans to attack where it hurts AMD and Intel the most: in diversification. It is assumed that your RTX 3050 will be faster than its rivals, but at the same time it is not specified on which version of its rivals.
AMD seems to be betting everything on one RX 6500 XT 8 GB, Intel with its A380 will do the same with 6GB, so what will NVIDIA do? Well, simple, launch two GPUs with different configuration. What we will have in the stores are two GPUs with different computing power based on an RTX 3050 8 GB that, as we anticipated two weeks ago, will have 2560 Shaders FP32 under a chip GA106-150-Kx which will be the fastest version. The slowest version and with it the least powerful Ampere GPU of the entire range will be the RTX 3050 4 GB that will surprise locals and strangers.

What we will find with this new variant is a RTX 3050 4 GB with 2304 Shaders FP32 under a chip named as GA106-140 which according to the leaked specs of the RX 6500 XT and A380 should be, if not faster, be on equal footing against its rivals.
Comparatively it is expected to be above the GTX 1660 SUPER and below the original RTX 2060. The problem is that this version has less VRAM than the options from AMD and Intel, so it should be consistently faster if you want to stay with the market, because the price will surely not be low compared to what is currently seen.
In any case, we always have to talk about MSRP as we always talk about TDP when generalizing, and in this case it should be in a range of the 200 dollars for the 4 GB version and 250 dollars for the 8GB version. This would leave a small GAP for the supposed RTX 3050 Ti, where many rumors claim that this Titanium model would actually be the one named here RTX 3050 and therefore would not exist.
That would raise the price of the two GPUs that we reference in this article, because let’s remember that the RTX 3060 has an MSRP of $ 329, so if this were the case the price of the RTX 3050 would be somewhat higher than commented. We will have to wait to have something clear.
