Xiaomi will unveil not two, but three smartphones at the MWC 2023 show in Barcelona. No Ultra model, but a “Lite” model, which turns out to be a copy of another smartphone already launched in China.
@_snoopytech_, a French leaker accustomed to revealing important information concerning devices that have not yet been marketed, has just shared official images of Xiaomi’s next smartphones. Unsurprisingly, we find the European Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro, expected from February 26, but also another smartphone.
Indeed, the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro will not arrive alone on the occasion of the MWC 2023, since these will be accompanied by a Xiaomi 13 Lite. The images above therefore reveal the design of the smartphone from every angle. If this one is not completely unknown to you, it is because it is in fact a renamed version of another smartphone already released in China a few months ago: the Xiaomi Civic 2.
The Xiaomi 13 Lite is just a Xiaomi Civi 2 with a mustache
When it was released, the Xiaomi Civi 2 impressed with its rather exceptional versatility, and we regret that it did not make it to us. Xiaomi will therefore probably correct the situation with this Xiaomi 13 Lite. If it adopts the same technical sheet as the Chinese model, we already know what to expect.
In the bowels of the smartphone, we find a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, one of the best mid-range processors. The device will be powered by a 4500mAh battery compatible with the 67W wired fast charging.
On the front, the Xiaomi 13 Lite is expected to use a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz frequency. Its particularity will be the pill at the very top, which houses not one, but two front sensors. It is dual 32MP Samsung S5K3D2 camerasone offering a wide-angle, and the other an ultra-wide-angle for group selfies.
On the back, the smartphone relies on a three-camera setup with a 50MP IMX766a captor 20 MP IMX376K ultra-wide angle and a useless camera: the 2 MP macro. The Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro will see their prices greatly increase this year, so it remains to be seen how much this Xiaomi 13 Lite will cost.
