Samsung continues to deploy One UI 5.0, its overlay based on Android 13. After the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4, it’s the turn of some Galaxy A and M to receive the latest Android update.
In October 2022, Samsung kicked off the deployment of One UI 5.0, its latest overlay based on Android 13. Of course, the Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra were the first to be served on October 24. The next day, the manufacturer also published the detailed roadmap for the deployment of One UI 5.0.
Thus, many of the brand’s devices will receive the latest Android update between November 2022 and February 2023. A few weeks ago, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 received One UI 5.0 as promised. In the aftermath, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 have also moved to Android 13. Many high-end smartphones from the South Korean firm such as the Galaxy S21, S20 or even the Note 20 have also migrated to the new overlay.
Samsung deploys One UI 5.0 ahead of several Galaxy A and M
However, we have just learned that several other devices in the catalog welcomed One UI 5.0 this week. As our colleagues from the SamMobile site point out, Samsung is currently deploying its overlay on the Galaxy A23 in its LTE and 5G variants in several European countries. This is also the case of Galaxy A22 and Galaxy A32 LTE.
Note that the overlay is also deployed in Europe on the Galaxy M22, specifically in France, Germany, Spain, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. In Korea, the Galaxy A42 has migrated to Android 13, suggesting a rollout shortly in Europe. We continue this overview with the Galaxy A13 5G which also went under One UI 5.0 today.
Note that Samsung has taken a lead on its schedule, since if we are to believe the roadmap published in October, the Galaxy A13 was to receive the overlay only in January 2023. Good news for all users of this entry-level smartphone. At the same time, Samsung is bringing Android 13 to its Fan Edition smartphones in several countries. This is the case of the Galaxy S20 FE 5G in France. As a reminder, Samsung recently pledged to roll out Android 14 faster to its smartphones in 2023.
