During these days we have tested the latest flagship of OnePlus, the 10 Pro. This time OnePlus renounces splitting and if you want its top of the range you will not have it decaffeinated, but with all its power in the Pro version. It is difficult to innovate and make a difference in a top of the range, but in OnePlus they are not very complicated either. , while other brands focus on their phones having unbelievable properties, such as bending or stretching, OnePlus only seeks that what it was already doing, it now does better.

At first glance, they might seem the same characteristics as those of the OnePlus 9 Pro, but we must pay attention that the LTPO technology is improved and that it adjusts to the content reproduced and in the dual color calibration that makes it possible that if we put it side by side 9 Pro, this looks like a 2014 phone to us. The adaptive refresh rate also results in better battery use, I don’t need 120hz if I’m watching memes on Twitter, so the OnePlus 10 Pro lowers the resolution and in this way save battery for more intense tasks.

We also remember that OnePlus gives the possibility to calibrate the brightness to our liking, being able to put it in DCI-P3 and a Natural mode calibrated in sRGBwith the option of a Pro mode that only allows us to change the white balance of the panel.

Here we will find the rest of the options: pro, panoramic, movie… if the organization that OnePlus has made by default does not convince us, we can edit it and put what we use the most as a direct access.

Battery and performance

In order to make a personal assessment beyond figures and specifications, I wanted to use the OnePlus 10 Pro as my main phone for a week and check if it is capable of coping with constant use of social networks and photography and responds with total solvency, reaching end of the day with battery for one more day. Its large 5,000 mAh battery It is compatible with the brand’s fastest wired charging speeds, which, according to OnePlus itself, will be able to charge from 1 to 100% in just 47 minutes thanks to the included 50W AIRVOOC charger. Also, if we use the wireless charger, it can be charged vertically and horizontally, very useful if we want to leave it on the stand while we watch some content.

In terms of performance, the OnePlus 10 Pro mounts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen it will be hard to find something you can’t. Although the OnePlus 10 Pro is also equipped with a series of new gaming features that are made possible by the HyperBoost game engine that comes pre-installed along with its OxygenOS 12.1 operating system (based on Android 12), whose overall user experience includes a design simple and new features focused on work, rest and gaming.

If we focus on more specific aspects such as biometrics, the OnePlus 10 Pro incorporates a fast and reliable fingerprint reader on the screen and facial recognition.

The search bar is no longer just for searching the Internet, we can also access any of our applications from there, shortening paths and facilitating the search. They have also integrated what they call shelf (Shelf) This is a section with phone information and quick access to some tools. This space is also configurable to taste through Widgets. Those of us who don’t want them to take up space on our mobile screens can leave them on the Shelf. They have also improved the dark mode by adding three levels of darkness.

Conclusions

It is difficult for me to elaborate on the conclusions of the OnePlus 10 Pro. For me it is a perfectly balanced phone capable of giving everything of itself, a perfect all-rounder capable of withstanding hours of work, as long as our work can be done from the phone.

It borders on perfection in every way, with performance, screen and battery being its main strengths. We can focus on a single aspect and demand maximum perfection and we will find fault with it, for example, the cameras are not impeccable and the operating system still has to polish some details. But despite all the OnePlus looks in the eyes of any other flagship.
