We had the opportunity to test the Realme GT and the Realme GT Neo 2. And they both respond (with more or less accuracy) to the promise: power and a relatively tight price. Besides, the Realme GT has long remained the cheapest smartphone equipped with the Snapdragon 888 on the market. And on the same basis, Motorola has succeeded in this field by offering the Moto G200. It is the cheapest smartphone with the Snapdragon 888+. Enough to attract the attention of the competition, including OnePlus.

OnePlus prepares affordable gaming smartphones to counter Realme

A very active Chinese leaker on the Weibo microblogging site posted an interesting post on this subject. He says that OnePlus would think about launching a new range of smartphones positioned in the same market segment as the Realme GT. You will therefore find powerful smartphones, cut for mobile gaming and offered at affordable prices. A return to basics in a way. let’s remember that the OnePlus One has long remained the cheapest smartphone with a Snapdragon 801, the high-end Qualcomm SoC of the time.

The leaker claims that the smartphones would be equipped with very powerful processors, as well assharp screens for gaming. Understand that these should logically benefit from high refresh rates (120 or 144 Hz). The same goes for the sampling frequencies. Finally, he mentions a price range: between 2000 and 3000 yuan, i.e. between 270 and 415 euros. Or exactly the positioning of the Realme. This is likely to get people talking at Oppo, owner of the two brands.
