Open the term for the registration of startups in South Summit Madrid 2022

This year the event South Summit reaches its tenth anniversary consolidated as a great meeting and connection point for the key players in the ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation. Every year startups, corporations and investors from around the world meet in Madrid to generate real business opportunities and high-value connections, as well as to learn about the trends and innovations that mark the present and future of the most cutting-edge industries.

According to the organization, in the 2021 edition all participation records were brokenwith more than 22,000 physical and virtual attendees, more than 1,600 investors with a portfolio of approximately 135,000 million dollars, along with more than 8,000 startups, 680 speakers and 7,000 corporate members.

The prelude to the South Summit Madrid 2022 edition is opened by its Startup Competition to choose the 100 most disruptive startups in the world, who can register until March 15, through the South Summit website:

Like every year, the 100 finalists will be chosen after a careful selection process by a committee of recognized investors and innovation experts among the thousands of competing startups, 3,800 in the last edition. Factors such as innovation, viability, scalability, sustainability, the team, as well as the interest for potential investors will be taken into account.

The projects selected from the Startup Competition will have the opportunity to participate in South Summit Madrid to be held this year as a novelty from June 8 to 10, which this year will celebrate its tenth anniversary. A unique opportunity for the most innovative startups in the world, who will be able to present their innovation and business model to top-level national and international investors, as well as gain visibility before institutions and large corporations in search of innovation and thus generate real business opportunities between these ecosystem actors.

Since its foundation 10 years ago, a large number of startups have passed through the corridors of South Summit, which, over time, have become leading companies in their sector.

Among the most prominent are Cabify, the first Spanish unicorn considering a possible IPO; the job search platform jobandtalent, which has recently reached a valuation of 2,000 million euros; or Glovo, which has already reached a valuation of 2,300 million euros. Spotahome also stands out for its significant growth, which has already raised more than 80 million euros in financing, among many other success stories of startups present at the latest editions of South Summit.
