OpenText collaborates with Bayer to simplify its digital operations

OpenTex has announced that Bayer has selected OpenText Business Network Cloud Enterprise as a strategic solution for certain B2B integration activities within the Consumer Health & Pharmaceuticals divisions, with the goal of increasing agility and improving operational efficiency. The collaboration started with a proof of concept to be followed by deployment activities.

With more than 150 years of history, Bayer is one of the largest healthcare and agricultural companies in the world, and thanks to the implementation of OpenText’s Business Network Cloud Enterprise, the company will streamline and simplify integration with its partners, allowing the organization focus on its core business.

By managing systems, integration, partner onboarding, transaction monitoring and much more, OpenText enables companies to focus on their core competencies while benefiting from access to real-time business performance information and simplified interaction with business partners.

“With billions of B2B transactions being exchanged globally between organizations every year, successful and effective integration can be extremely expensive and complex, often requiring ongoing investment, specialized technology and expertise to manage,” says Muhi Majzoub, Chief OpenText Product Officer. “With our Business Network Cloud Enterprise solution, Bayer will be able to focus on its main business priorities with a simplified and harmonized systems environment that is backed and supported by one of the largest B2B networks in the world.”

“We expect our collaboration with OpenText, from customer onboarding to deployment, to have a significant impact on our global processes,” says Björn-Christian Volckmann – Global Process Owner Order-2-Cash, Commercial Operations (Consumer Health & Pharmaceuticals). “As a global B2B EDI provider and trusted partner, OpenText will provide expert support and allow us to continue to prioritize cutting-edge solutions that will make a difference in communities around the world today, and in the future.”
