OPPO Find N2 Flip, a very promising foldable

Followers of the folding smartphone market (among which I include myself) have a lot to celebrate with the long-awaited arrival of the OPPO Find N2 Flip, a new model with which this manufacturer is not only finally encouraged to try the shell format, as popular among many users, but it also does it in a big way, because unlike other models of the brand, which have not left the Chinese market, in this case we do find an international commitment, which will also reach other countries to Spain in about two weeks.

You don’t have to go too far to conclude that, with this new foldable, OPPO plans to directly confront Samsung, and more specifically its Galaxy Z Flip4, one of the most successful foldables to date. And although its position in the folding market is very well established, the truth is that the Korean multinational has reasons to observe OPPO’s movement with some concern, since this OPPO Find N2 Flip promises to be a pretty tough rival.

As always when we talk about folding, and before analyzing its specifications, we must pay special attention to a key element in this type of device: the hinge and the use support (opening and closing) of the screen. In this model we will find the second generation Flexion Hinge, which has obtained a certification from TÜV Rheinland that accredits its ability to withstand more than 400,000 folds and unfolds at standard room temperature. That’s the equivalent of opening and closing the phone about 100 times a day for more than ten years.

So, knowing that we don’t have to worry about this aspect, key in this type of device, let’s see the specifications.

OPPO Find N2 Flip: technical specifications

As you can see, we are faced with a very balanced proposal, in which its two screens undoubtedly stand out, the main one, built with a panel 6.8-inch AMOLED LTPO UDP with FullHD+ resolution (2,520 x 1,080 points in a 21:9 aspect ratio), with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 hertz and a brightness of up to 1,600 nits, and the exterior, also AMOLED, in this case 3.26 inches with a resolution of 720 x 382 points (17:9), frequency of 60 hertz, up to 900 nits and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Inside we find an optimized version for the OPPO Find N2 Flip, the top-of-the-range SoC of MediaTek, the Dimensity 9000+an integrated with exceptional performance, which is accompanied by up to 16 gigabytes of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 gigabytes of UFS3.1 storage. Thus, we are talking about a top of the range with all the letters.

Regarding connectivity, we obviously find 5G regarding the cell phone, which is accompanied by Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 in the wireless section. It is completed with NFC, compatibility with the main global positioning systems and, of course, the everlasting USB port for both data transfer and charging. And in this regard, that is, in terms of autonomy, it has a battery of 4,300 milliamps with function 44 watt fast charge.

Of course, the OPPO Find N2 Flip also presents a very interesting proposal in the photographic section, for which OPPO has chosen to mount Sony sensors in its two chambers. In the main one we find two, a reliable and versatile 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 with f/1.8 number and a wide-angle 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 f/2.2, while for the front they have opted for a 32-megapixel Sony IMX 709 RGBW with number f/2-4.

The OPPO Find N2 Flip will go on sale in Spain next March 1yes ok it is already possible to reserve it on the OPPO website. Its price will be 1,049 euros, but users who reserve it between today and February 28 will enjoy a discount of 50 euros, so they can purchase it for 999 euro.
