Last December, Oppo lifted the veil on its first clamshell smartphone, the Find N2 Flip, but it ultimately took more than a month before it was launched in France. As its name suggests, the Find N2 Flip comes directly compete with Samsung’s famous Galaxy Z Flip 4 in the flip smartphone market. It completes the range of foldable smartphones from Oppo, which was already made up of the great Find N2, but the latter will not be released in France.

First of all, note that the Oppo Find N2 Flip is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ 5G chip, which allows it to offer high-end performance. Through sustainable design, Oppo promises 400,000 openings and closingsand the smartphone is even IPX4 certified for water and dust resistance. However, these are not the best arguments offered by the smartphone.

The Find N2 Flip promises long battery life

One of the particularities of the smartphone is its large 4300 mAh battery compatible with 44W wired charging, which allows it to recharge to 50% in just 23 minutes. It is therefore a greater capacity than the 3700 mAh of the Samsung smartphone, which should allow it to last all day.

On the main screen, there is a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel with refresh rate 120 Hz and LTPO technology. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, and offers a maximum brightness of 1200nits. At the back, there is a large 3.26-inch borderless external display which will allow you to view your notifications, interact with widgets or even use the rear camera.

Speaking of photos, there are two cameras on the back, including a main IMX890 of 50 MP with a size of 1/1.56 inch and aperture f/1.8. It is accompanied by an 8 MP IMX355 ultra-wide-angle sensor. On the selfie side, there is a 32 MP IMX709 camera. As on recent smartphones from Oppo or OnePlus, the photo part has been developed jointly with the specialist Hasselblad. There is even Oppo’s MariSilicon X imaging processor, responsible for processing the shots. Note that it is possible on this model to keep the smartphone partially folded while taking photos.

Finally, on the software side, the smartphone is launched under ColorOS 13 with Android 13and Oppo promises 4 years of major Android updates, and 5 years of security patches. It is therefore the longest follow-up to date in Android. The Find N2 Flip should therefore receive updates up to Android 17. The device is rather compact, measuring only 166.2 x 75.2 x 7.45 mm and weighing around 191 grams.

Price and availability

The Oppo Find N2 Flip will be launched in two colors: black and purple. Only a configuration will be offered with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. For the price, it will cost 1099 eurosa little less than the Galaxy Z Flip 4 when it was released.

The good news is thata 67W charger is included in the box of the smartphone, so you won’t have to buy one separately. You will have to wait a few days before receiving your smartphone, because deliveries will not begin until February 28, and the Find N2 Flip will be available the same day in the various usual stores. Unfortunately, Oppo is not offering any pre-order offers this time around.
