Oppo is preparing to unveil a new generation of mid-range smartphones, the Reno 8. A few days before the official launch, the design and technical specifications of the smartphones have already been revealed on the web.
Oppo has announced on social networks the arrival of the Reno 8, its new mid-range smartphones. The new series will consist of three models: the Reno 8, the Reno 8 Pro and the Reno 8 Pro+. While theofficial announcement is not expected until May 23stolen photos have already revealed what the smartphone would look like.
As can be seen from the promotional posters above, the Oppo Reno 8 offers a design with flat borders and a configuration to three back cameras, placed in the upper right corner. According to leaker Ice Universe, the Pro+ version should adopt the thinnest borders in the serieswhile the classic Reno 8 will adopt a more traditional design.
What technical characteristics for the Oppo Reno 8?
In addition to design, we now know everything about the technical characteristics of smartphones. According to leaker Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Oppo Reno 8 will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 processor. We will find a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz.
On the photo side, the smartphone will bet on a configuration with three cameras, with a 50 MP IMX766 main sensora captor 8 MP ultra-wide angle and a sensor 2 MP macro. The selfie part is provided by a 32 MP sensor. Finally, we learn that the 4500mAh battery is compatible with the 80W fast chargingthe smartphone therefore offers a lot in common with the high-end Oppo Find X5 Pro.
For their part, the Reno 8 Pro and 8 Pro + will stand out with their larger screen 6.62 inch FHD+ E4 OLED 120Hz with thinner borders. We will also find the MariSilicon X chip of the Oppo Find X5. The two smartphones also promise to be more powerful, since they will be equipped with chips Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 for the Reno 8 Proand Dimensity 8100 Max for the Reno 8 Pro+. It will also be the first smartphone with the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.
For the moment, the Reno 8 will only be presented in China on May 23. We will probably have to wait a few months before seeing them arrive in Franceknowing that Oppo launched its Reno 7 only a few weeks ago in France.
