The Segovian municipality of Otero de Herreros inaugurates today, Saturday, June 11, the event safety pin05the Cotec innovation festival, dedicated on this occasion to promoting innovation versus depopulation. The Festival, open to all audiences and gratuitouswill propose to visitors more than 25 innovation experiences emerged in rural areas, as well as workshops, activities for children, a popular stew and musical performances by Los Hermanos Cubero and Lorena Álvarez and their prowlers. Imperdible05 has the collaboration of Iberdrola.
To facilitate access to the Festival, Cotec offers interested parties exclusive and free return trains from Madrid (Príncipe Pío) and Segovia (Segovia Station), to travel to the very doors of Imperdible05, at Finca La Estación . There will also be free parking for those who come by private vehicle. The schedule will be from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and access will be free until full capacity is reached..
The Safety Pins are Cotec’s flagship events, a collection of innovation experiences that in each edit tackles a different topic (music, football, cities and sustainable development goals were the stars of the previous deliveries). Imperdible05 will devote all its attention to one of the great challenges of the 21st century: the loss of population in rural areas, through experimenting with innovation projects that have arisen in the rural environment itself.
The Imperdible05 Innovation Festival is sponsored by Naturgy, the Xunta de Galicia, the Castilla y León Institute of Business Competitiveness (ICE), Renfe, Adif and the Segovia Provincial Council, in addition to the collaboration of EDP, Ineco, Red Eléctrica Española, Grupo Tragsa, the Diputación de Málaga, Huercasa, CTIC RuralTech, Asti Foundation, Fundación ”La Caixa”, Talgo Tebrio, Ecotisa, Red Española de Desarrollo Rural (REDR), Sociograph and the City Council of Otero de Herreros.
