The truth is that the list of upcoming releases is quite long, and in it we can find such interesting titles that it is difficult to choose the most anticipated game of 2023. I’m not exaggerating, keep in mind that we haven’t finished 2022 yet and we already have giants like Diablo IV, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Street Fighter 6, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Starfield, Skulls and Bones, STALKER 2, Alan Wake 2, Dead Island 2, the Dead Space remake and Lies of P, among others.
In that list there are several games that I like and that I look forward to, such as Diablo IV and Resident Evil 4 Remake, and the truth is that it is very difficult for me to choose one of them, but I lean towards Starfield. What I’ve seen so far of Bethesda’s next game and the generational leap it promises on a technical level have left me pleasantly surprised, making it one of those titles that I look forward to playing from the day it’s released.
If we remove Starfield from the list my second choice for most anticipated game of the year would be Diablo IV. Those of you who read us daily already know that I am a staunch fan of the franchise, and that I have enjoyed each and every one of its installments at the time of its release, although to be fair the first was the one that marked me the most in 1996.
maybe some be surprised you didn’t pick Resident Evil 4 Remake, and I want to give you an explanation. Yes, it’s a game I’m looking forward to, but I had made up my mind that it was going to be a current-gen exclusive title and not another cross-gen transition game. This has disappointed me a lot because in the end, on a technical level, we will be facing a game that will drag all the limitations that we have seen in Resident Evil Village, and that I already told you about at the time in a technical analysis.
