ARCOM prepares for the fight against piracy

As of January 1, 2022, the merger of HADOPI and CSA will see the birth of ARCOM (Audiovisual and Digital Communication Regulatory Authority). A decree published in the Official Journal on Christmas Eve detailed ARCOM’s new arsenal to fight piracy and better protect copyright. This new entity will therefore be responsible for attacking mirror sites and systematically blocking them, but also for creating blacklists and tracking down followers of illegal downloading through the integration of the IP address in the data transmitted to the ARCOM.
