OWO brings Assassin’s Creed Mirage to skin level

Undoubtedly, OWO and Ubisoft’s joint proposal with Assassin’s Creed Mirage is, to say the least, most interestingsince it addresses from a very interesting approach something that the entire gaming ecosystem has been working on for a long time: the most immersive experiences, that is, those that, through the hardware used, try to immerse us as much as possible in the game , so that it is a more intense and interesting experience.

As a general rule, this is attempted by modifying already existing elements, either with controls with haptic response to in-game events, with curved screens that extend what we see to the peripheral vision or, of course, with virtual reality headsets, but also with positional sound systems, especially the headphones, that manage to convey to us the sensation that the sounds are produced where the game pretends that they are being produced. Thanks to these technologies, gaming can be a much more intense experience.

OWO’s proposal is different, and that is why it is so interesting, and that is that we are talking about a system that provides a haptic response to the happenings and events of the games in our own bodythanks to a haptic jacket that, as you may have already imagined, incorporates several strategically placed motors, in order to emulate what we would experience if we were actually carrying out the action emulated in the game.

OWO brings Assassin's Creed Mirage to skin level

Well, today this Spanish technology has scored something very important. And it is that, as we can see on its website, OWO has partnered with Ubisoft to bring its technology to Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the long-awaited new game of the popular franchise that will arrive on all major platforms on October 12. With this title, Ubisoft intends to return to the origins of the saga, by bringing us closer to the Abbasid culture with the History of Baghdad.

As a result of this collaboration, OWO has announced an Assassin’s Creed Mirage Edition, that is, a custom edition of his haptic jacket that replicates the look of the game’s protagonist’s outfit, and which will also include a code to download the title at no additional cost. In addition, according to the company, they are working very actively with Ubisoft to add new haptic responses to movements and actions of the game, so that the experience can be even more complete.

The compatibility of OWO with Mirage Edition is also only the first step in this collaboration, since both companies are already working on extending the immersive experience of the jacket to other company titlesin what is undoubtedly a very valuable endorsement for OWO, which has already aroused a lot of interest and won some notable awards, such as the innovation award at CES 2022.
