The creation and consolidation of startups is one of the objectives of PcComponentes. The Spanish ecommerce expert in technology and computing, has started 2022 by announcing the opening of the registration period for the sixth edition of its corporate acceleration program PcComponentes Startup Booster (PSB)as well as the second edition of its pre-seed initiative PcComponentes Venture Builder (PVB).
With these two calls, the Murcian company reaffirms its commitment to entrepreneurship and innovation in Spain, with the aim of continuing to make the e-commerce sector evolve. The sixth edition of PSB already has open the registration of candidacies until next February 25, through the website psb.pccomponentes.com. This corporate acceleration program is committed to being the meeting point for Spanish startups that will guide innovation in the ecommerce ecosystem.
After the success of previous editions, the training phase with up to six startup finalists will once again be held online, thus facilitating the participation of companies from anywhere in the country. During this phase, the selected companies will be able to hold videoconferences with the PcComponentes management team to present their solutions, receive specialized mentoring in one-to-one virtual meetings with experts in various business areas and will also participate in networking sessions with the rest of the startups. Additionally, the finalists will have the opportunity to present their projects to the Aurorial committee, the investment vehicle of the PcComponentes group.
Since its launch two years ago, more than 200 startups from all over Spain have registered their candidacy for one of the five previous editions of PcComponentes Startup Booster. Companies such as Kubbo, Aunoa, Qoala, Treend and Brainspro have been proclaimed champions in previous editions, demonstrating the diversity of ideas of entrepreneurship made in Spain.
Consolidation of the new pre-seed program
Complementary to PSB and operating in a previous stage, the second edition of PcComponentes Venture Builder (PVB) intends to identify entrepreneurs passionate about ecommerce to co-found startups from scratch that solve the challenges of the sector. The registration period will remain open until February 18, through the website pvb.pccomponentes.com.
In this new program, PcComponentes will support participating entrepreneurs by providing business ideas, mentoring and financing. Subsequently, the team creation phase will open and a period of three months will open in which the finalist teams must develop an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) with the support and training of experts from PcComponentes. Finally, the teams that develop functional MVPs will be able to found their own startup with the support of PcComponentes, which will be able to invest up to 50,000 euros to finance the start-up of the selected projects.
Despite being just a few months old, PcComponentes Venture Builder already has its first startups, highlighting for example the creation of Tecandu, a company that allows technology and electronics consumers to find the best installer at the best price and in a matter of minutes. In addition, PVB hopes to soon launch a new startup that also emerged during its first edition and is already in the validation phase of its MVP.
