And not only that, they also presented their mid-range Smart TVs, in addition to different sound solutions, among which the Philips Fidelio FB1, FW1 and FS1, sound bar, subwoofer and speaker for the new Fidelio AV platform. In this way, Philips has announced that its next generation of premium devices from its sound division will be made of noble materials, in addition to betting on the DTS Play-Fi standard to create a totally cable-free set.

In case you did not know, DTS Play-Fi is a wireless sound system that is capable of working with high-fidelity multi-channel audio. with imperceptible delays (they do not exceed a millisecond) to be able to take the signal to different speakers simultaneously and offer an acoustic landscape up to the most demanding.

DTS announced that Play-Fi Home Theater would arrive in late 2021, allowing you to build a home theater system without worrying about the sound cables you would need. The best of all? That the process could be used directly through your television or using an app compatible with iOS and Android devices.

Thus, If you have a Smart TV compatible with DTS Play-Fi technology, you can create different sound configurations very easily. The TV will be the central channel, and if we add two stereo speakers they will act as front channels to generate a 3.0 set.

Too you can add another two rear channels which would allow you to create a surround sound system. Lastly, you can alsos add up to two external subwoofers for deeper, clearer low-frequency responses. It should be remembered that Play-Fi adapts to the number of speakers you have installed so that its modular design allows you to add new equipment as you buy it, as long as they are compatible with this technology.

and hehe idea of Philips is to make the most of this technology as it considers it to be the future. For now, the first models to receive support for DTS Play-Fi are the FB1 soundbar, FW1 wireless subwoofer, and FS1 bookshelf speakers. This set can operate in an interconnected or isolated way depending on your needs, since you can generate a multi-room system through your mobile.
