Philips introduces two giant, ultra-wide all-purpose monitors

Philips has expanded its line of computer monitors with two new models that stand out for their large size and ultra-wide resolution that is increasingly used for any type of use and that -due to its high display capacity- avoids having to mount a system multimonitor.

The ultra panoramic ones are usually big and these are it with their 45 inches diagonally. Its panel is a curved VA with W-LED backlighting and a native resolution of 5120 x 1440 pixels. which corresponds to a 32:9 aspect ratio.

Support the standard DisplayHDR 400, with 450 cd/m² brightness and a typical contrast ratio of 3000:1. Its update frequency is 75hz and the response time of 4 ms. Although you can play with them, it is not their main objective and they are more focused on work and multimedia consumption.

Its connectivity is very interesting and from it comes the distinctions of the two models (45B1U6900C and 45B1U6900CH) which in relation to the panel are essentially identical. To begin with, they have two video inputs, HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4and USB-C ports that offer DP Alt mode, 10Gbps data rates, and USB PD support up to 100W for charging laptops or mobile devices.

A USB-A port hub it includes four ports, one that supports fast charging and an additional USB-C downstream port that delivers up to 15W of power. They also have Gigabit Ethernet and an audio jack, as well as a pair of built-in 5W speakers. They have an ergonomic height-, tilt-, and swivel-adjustable base.

Differentiating between the models comes from an integrated 5-megapixel webcam with Windows Hello support for security tasks and a KVM switch, which allows us to manage two PCs with the same peripherals (monitor, keyboard and mouse) and switch between them, reducing expenses and also space on the desktop. No prices have been provided for these monitors, ultrawide and of enormous size, for all computer use.
