Philips introduces two new monitors for creators

The Philips firm has introduced two new monitors aimed primarily at content creators, the 45B1U6900C and 45B1U6900CH. Both models feature a curved panel (1500R) of 44.5 inches and screen resolution up to 5,120 x 1,440 pixels (format 32:9), which means that they are of the ultra-wide type.

The panel that integrates these new Philips monitors is VA type, which means they offer viewing angles of 178 degrees and have good color representation. And speaking of colour, Philips has confirmed that these monitors represent 107% of the DCI-P3 color spacethey offer an 8-bit color depth, have a maximum brightness of 450 nits, a refresh rate of 75 Hz and a response time of 4 milliseconds.

Both monitors are height, swivel and tilt adjustable, which means that they can be easily adapted to different workspaces and different user profiles, and that they have good ergonomics. As for the range of connectors, both come with two HDMI 2.0 outputs, have a DisplayPort 1.4, a 3.5mm jack for sound, a USB Type-C that can work as a DisplayPort and offers up to 100 watts of power, and also have Gigabit LAN connections, KVM switch and four USB 3.2 Type-A ports for peripherals.

The key difference between the two models is that the 45B1U6900CH offers a USB Type-B connector, and the latter does not have an integrated webcam. The camera that integrates the 45B1U6900C is hidden in the back of the monitor, and only emerges when we are going to use it. This one comes with a built-in microphone and has noise cancellation technology.

To complete the multimedia experience, the two Philips monitors have two 5 watt speakers. We do not have details on the sale price, but they should be more economical than the 49-inch models that are already available on the market, and that are around 1,000 euro, approximately.
