Atos will build the MareNostrum 5 for the Barcelona Supercomputing Center
Atos is finally the company chosen to build MareNostrum 5, a new pre-exascalar type supercomputer for the Joint European High-Performance Computing Project (EuroHPC JU).
It will be in the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, as confirmed by those responsible, and will have a peak performance of 314 Petaflops, that is, 314,000 million calculations per second. In addition, it will have more than 200 Petabytes of storage space, and 400 Petabytes of active file.
Cloudflare outage affects thousands of services and web pages in many countries
The Cloudflare CDN has experienced a widespread failure that has caused thousands of pages and online services that use their services to be inaccessible in many countries for more than half an hour.
Among the affected services are AWS, Discord, Shopify, Feedly, Canva, NordVPN, Buffer, Medium or Social Blade. Many of the most popular online games, such as LOL or Valorant, have also been affected.
