PIX NII, a very capable mini PC for 155 euros

The PIX NII is a mini PC that has been featured as an interesting project seeking crowdfunding on IndieGoGo. You have already met your minimum goalso we can assume that it will go ahead, and that it is only a matter of time until it goes into production and the first units begin to reach buyers.

The advantage of buying it right now is that we will enjoy a significant discount on the final sale price. Depending on the model we choose, we can get the PIX NII for a price that goes from 155 euros to 243 euros. The former includes 8 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD, while the latter comes with 16 GB of RAM and has a 1 TB SSD.

All models have in common the small size of the chassis, and that is that the PIX NII is so tiny that it fits in the palm of your hand, and they also share the same basic configuration, formed by:

  • Intel Pentium Silver N6005 processor with four cores and four threads.
  • Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.
  • Silent cooling system.
  • LPDDR4 type memory.
  • M.2 2242 slot for SATA or PCIe NVMe SSD drives.

As far as the connectivity, the PIX NII has two HDMI outputs, a 3.5 mm jack for sound, a Gigabit Ethernet, a USB Type-C port and three USB 3.2 Type-A ports. The microSD slot represents an important added value, since it allows to expand the storage in a simple and economic way.

The first units of the PIX NII will begin to reach buyers later this year, which means that if we buy one we will enjoy a really good price, but at the same time we will have to be patient, since it will take a few months to receive it. All in all, I think that to renew a fleet of office automation equipment it is an interesting option, as long as we are not in a hurry.
