The Pixel 7, Google’s future smartphone, appeared on eBay, while it will not be released until the fall of 2022. It is a prototype, functional and unlocked. The starting bid was $450, but the bid was canceled after rising to $810. Google officially announced the smartphone at its developer conference. But it won’t be available until fall 2022.
On May 11, the opening keynote of the Google Developers Conference took place. During this conference, several hardware products were announced. The Pixel 6A. The Pixel Watch. The Pixel Tab. The Pixel Buds Pro. Or the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Some of its devices will be available at the beginning of the summer. This is the case with the Pixel 6A and the Pixel Buds Pro. And others will not arrive until the end of 2022 or in 2023. The Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will arrive for example this fall only.

In the meantime, Google will shell out information on these two phones. A long teasing campaign that will last more than 5 months. The first details were revealed during the conference. The Pixel 7 will therefore be available in two versions. They will both have a Second generation Tensor, the first equipping the three members of the Pixel 6 family. They will run Android 13 (for which they have already obtained certification). And they will stand out especially on the photo part.
Pixel 7 prototype goes on sale on eBay
On the official visuals, we can indeed distinguish two locations for the objectives. A first oval location, which seems common to both devices. And a circular slot reserved for the Pixel 7 Pro. It is the latter that physically distinguishes the Pixel 7 from the Pixel 7 Pro. And this is an important detail for the rest of our story. Indeed, a person has put up for sale a prototype of one of Google’s future smartphones. And, judging by all the photos uploaded with the announcement, this is the Pixel 7. The photos of the front of the device also tell us that Google is taking over the location of the selfie sensor from the Pixel 6, in a punch placed in the middle of the upper edge of the screen. In addition, we find this large protruding block which horizontally bars the back of the smartphone.
The announcement reveals some technical details. The screen size reaches 6.4 inches. The Tensor processor that powers this smartphone matters 8 hearts. It is accompanied by 8 GB RAM and 128 GB of storage. And one of its photo sensors offers a definition of 12 megapixels. Until then, no big surprise, since all these details correspond to the technical sheet of the Pixel 6. The announcement arrived on eBay this Monday with a starting price of 450 dollars. But it didn’t stay online long, just long enough for a few members to bid up to over $800. She has since been suspended.
