Yesterday a new version of the popular photo retouching software was released for macOS: Pixelmator Pro 2.1. The new update brings a new machine learning cropping feature, plus quick fill options and a new brushstroke painting feature.

The automatic cropping. The developers of Pixelmator Pro emphasize that this is not intended to be truly automatic and replace the personal decisions of a photographer. However, it offers a crop that is cleverly based on the current image and uses all the machine learning benefits of the app.
Pixelmator Pro 2.1 also features a new control for fast fill. Colors can now be dragged directly onto an object or layer, thus quickly changing the color of the image.
A new function of Brush Stroke it has also been incorporated into this new version. With it, users can paint a brush stroke that follows selections and shapes.
