Playing Fortnite for free on iPhone will now be easier than ever with Xbox Cloud

Fortunately, Microsoft’s cloud gaming has come to put a solution on the table.

The relationship between Apple and Epic Games does not seem to improve in the coming years. For the same reason, we took it almost for granted that Fortnite I wouldn’t go back to iPhone or iPad. But there was a small hope: the cloud gaming. A few months ago, Nvidia put the Fortnite on the map thanks to GeForce Now, its cloud gaming service. GeForce Now is compatible with iOS devices, but the Battle Royale has only been released as a closed beta for select users.

This week, Xbox CloudGaming has moved right past GeForce Now. Fortnite Now this available on Microsoft’s cloud gaming platform and in shape free. At the moment, you do not need to subscribe to any plan. This has been made possible thanks to a partnership between Epic Games and Microsoft.

The Battle Royale not only returns to iOS on this new platform. Well, the process is very simple. You will only need one microsoft account. If you use Windows 10 or Windows 11, you probably already have it, since it is the data that you are asked for when you configure the computer for the first time.

Whether you want to play on a computer or on an iPhone or Android device, you’ll have to do it from the browser.

  • Log in with your Microsoft username.
  • Then you will return to the same screen. Simply click on ‘play‘.
  • A small loading screen will appear and the game will start. At this point, the wizard will ask you to connect a controller if you’re logging in from a computer. We have not been able to play with a keyboard, so it seems that the system asks to play with a controller so that all players are on equal terms. Something obvious, since mobile and tablet players will be playing with a touch interface.
  • Sign in with your Epic Games data and start playing. The speed and delay will depend on your Internet connection.
