PNY presents its new SD flash memory cards

The PNY firm has expanded its catalog of SD flash memory cards with the X-PRO 90 UHS-II series, a generation that is especially aimed at professionals in the photo and video industry that, as the name suggests, are based on the UHS-II bus, which means that they are capable of offering a high level of performance.

Thanks to the use of this bus, the new SD memory cards presented by PNY can reach a peak speed of up to 300MB / s in sequential read and up to 280MB / s in sequential write. This means that the user will be able to enjoy top-notch performance, but this is not the only value that the new PNY offers.

By using the UHS-II bus, these new memory cards can also work in Half Duplex mode. This allows each row to transfer data in the opposite direction at the same time, making it possible to move content from the host to the card and vice versa, simultaneously. Thanks to this, we will be able to execute two tasks at the same time, with all that this implies in terms of efficiency and work flow.

On the other hand, the new PNY X-PRO 90 SD memory cards guarantee a minimum sustained read and write speed of 90MB / s (V90 standard), allowing you to extend the duration of movie-quality video capture in 8K resolution. This is very important, as it means that with these memory cards we will be able to take advantage of the latest high-end devices on the market, such as the Canon EOS R5 and R6, the Nikon Z7 II and the Sony Alpha 7S III, for example.

PNY has confirmed that these new memory cards are already available in the Spanish market, but we do not yet know the recommended sale prices. We do know, however, that they will be available in versions of 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. So far, we have not seen a 512 GB version.
