While Poco has still not formalized the arrival of a new series of smartphones or announced a launch date, the Poco X4 Pro has already been tested before its time, and we now know everything about it.
We knew that Xiaomi was preparing to unveil new affordable smartphones, the Poco X4s, which had already been certified by the FCC. However, thanks to a test of the Poco X4 Pro 5G published in advance by our German colleagues from smartdroid, the smartphone is revealed before the official announcement in all its glory.
The test confirms that the Poco X4 Pro is almost identical to the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, but it still stands out from the original model thanks to its design. In back, the smartphone significantly increases the size of its photo modulewhich now has the shape of that of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, the most premium model of 2021.
What technical characteristics for the Poco X4 Pro 5G?
In terms of the technical sheet, it is surprising to note that the smartphone offers the same characteristics as the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, which we are still waiting for the release in France. The Poco X4 Pro 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 695, slightly slower than the Snapdragon 860 of its predecessor, the Poco X3 Pro. However, the Snapdragon 695 has the advantage of allowing the smartphone to be compatible with 5G bands.
At the front, there is a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Autonomy is ensured by a 5000 mAh battery compatible with the 67W fast charging, a record for a Poco device.
On the photo side, the smartphone relies on a configuration with three cameras, with a 108 MP HM2 sensor, the same as the top-end Xiaomi 11T Pro. It is accompanied by an 8 MP ultra wide-angle sensor, as well as a 2 MP macro sensor. Finally, we learn that the smartphone will be marketed with the new MIUI 13 overlay, but it will still be based on Android 11.
Although it is identical on paper to the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5Gthe Poco X4 Pro 5G should be sold at a slightly more affordable price. We will have to wait for the official release of the two smartphones to better compare them.
