Since its launch in 2016, Pokemon go It has become one of the most popular games for cell phones and mobile devices in the world, as it appealed to the nostalgia of all those millennials who grew up in the 90’s watching the series and who got excited dreaming that one day they would be Pokémon Trainers.
The game developed by Niantic It has been downloaded millions of times and throughout these years it has implemented various improvements so that the user experience is as close as possible to series, movies and manga. However, these updates have also had less favorable consequences.
Although an update usually brings significant improvements in its operation, performance and even its graphics, it also tends to demand more resources and therefore, at times, ends up leaving out some mobile devices that do not meet the requirements necessary for optimal performance.
New update will leave out iPhone and Android
This week, Niantic and The Pokémon Company have communicated that a series of iOS devices will no longer be compatible with Pokémon GO, leaving out devices with iOS 12. During the month of October, the company announced that iOS 10 and iOS 11 devices, in addition to devices lower than Android 5, would also leave to function.
According to the developer, any device that has the aforementioned versions, or lower versions, will no longer be able to open the application of Pokemon go from this month. Therefore, it will not be possible to continue playing the video game on these terminals.
