Pornhub: searches for videos of “Ukrainian girls” explode on the porn site

Since the beginning of the conflict against Russia, the terms “Ukrainian girls”, “Ukraine” or “War Porn” have been the most searched for on major porn sites like PornHub or Xvideos. The feminist association StopFisha, which fights in particular against cybersexism, denounces this disgusting phenomenon.

As you know, a week ago to the day, war came to Europe once again. Russia, under the command of Vladimir Putin, has launched a major military operation against Ukraine. While the bombardments ravage the most beautiful cities of the country and carry away innocent civilians, hundreds of thousands of people are fleeing towards borders that are not occupied by enemy forces.

At the same time, many companies are trying to provide assistance on their own scale, such as SpaceX with the deployment of Starlink over the country, Apple which has decided to suspend the sale of its products on Russian territory, or the French operators Free, Orange and SFR who have chosen to lower the prices of calls to Ukraine.

The war has entered many fields: sport with the banning of Russian teams from almost all international competitions, video games with the appeals of the Ukrainian authorities to industry giants such as Playstation and Xbox or even… porn. Not for the best.

The war in Ukraine invites itself into porn

As explained by the StopFisha association, committed to the fight against cybersexism and sexist and sexual violence online, the terms “Ukrainian girls”, ‘Ukraine’ or “War Porn” are the most searched on major porn sites like PornHub and Xvideos.

As the Ukrainian people fight a war imposed on them and struggle for survival, cybersexism targeting Ukrainian women is exploding,” ensures the association on Instagram. As she points out, searches for these terms have exploded since the beginning of hostilities, as shown by the Google Trends tool. Just type in Ukrainian Porn, Refugee Porn or War Porn to see the extent of the phenomenon.

On PornHub, we find in the TOP 3 searches the words “Ukraine”, “Ukrainian” or “Ukrainian Girl”. The association also wishes to highlight the responsibility of dating sites. As a New York Post article demonstrated, apps like Tinder “serve as one more ground of conquest for the Russian soldiers”.
