Put your favorite song as ringtone on iPhone

If you have ever been tired of the iPhone ringtone and would like to have a different one, in this post we are going to tell you two ways to set the ringtone from iTunes and from the combination of two applications such as Ringtone Maker and Garage Band.

A payment alternative… And another free.

In this post we are going to see two alternatives to put a song as a ringtone on the iPhone. The first way to do it is through iTunes, which is a very accessible payment process because you have to buy the song from the platform offered by Apple. The second alternative is a combination, one is Rightone Maker and the other is a native apple app as is Garage Band.

Via iTunes

iTunes

The process of putting a ringtone from iTunes is paid, but you have to keep in mind that a percentage of the sale goes to the artist, helping them to continue creating music.

  1. The first thing we have to have is the iTunes application downloaded and above all you have to be clear about the song you are going to add as a ringtone.
  2. You select the clip of the desired song and give it to buy. Once you have the song downloaded, click on the option “get information”. Several options appear, where you have to set the duration of the clip
  3. Now we are going to turn the song into a ringtone. To do this, from iTunes click on “convert” and click on “Create AAC version”. This is the only way you have so that your converted iPhone understands that it is a ringtone. It is the only way for your iPhone to make it as a ringtone. You press accept.
  4. Finally, you have to go to the Settings application and look for the “sounds and vibrations” window. This is where you have to select the ringtone you want.

You already have the song downloaded and added as a ringtone. If you want to add more songs in the future, you have to repeat the process by purchasing the songs in iTunes. Remember that you can also do this process from the Mac, but you have to have your iTunes account synchronized on both the iPhone and the Mac.

Through the combination of two applications: Ringtone Maker and Garage Band

Ringtone Maker and GarageBandThis process is a little more complex, since it requires the combination of two applications, but the results are identical, and both applications are also free, which is very beneficial for the consumer. The process is the following:

  1. you have to have the downloaded song, the song from files.
  2. In the files tab, you select the song and it is imported to us.
  3. We can put a Fade in and Fade out for a transition between tones to occur and sets the duration limit for the tones. Remember that a ringtone cannot be longer than 40 seconds on the iPhone. Finally, click on the “Make” campaign and import the file into GarageBand.
  4. Then you have to go to files and in the upper left, click on a triangular icon to import the file into GarageBand itself.
  5. We already have the application in GarageBand, now we hold down the song that we are going to add as a ringtone. Next, a window appears with three options and you choose the tone option.
  6. We are going to import the theme as a ringtone. We hope that the import is complete.
  7. Then you have to go to settings and ringtone and select the song you imported as a ringtone.
