QED Connect, the new range of affordable cables from QED

The British manufacturer QED has presented QED Connect, its new range of cables aimed at all types of public. QED is one of the best-known manufacturers of premium cables in the multimedia world, so their prices are usually quite high. At least until now, as the new range has been designed to offer good performance at much more affordable prices.

The new QED Connect range comes with multiple solutions to cover practically all the audiovisual connectivity needs we have both at home and on the move. It has been designed in the UK and the entire range is finished in satin black. The cable is wrapped in a PVC cover soft and flexible which, according to the manufacturer, is soft but durable. All cables feature custom molded QED plugs and connectors and 24 karat gold plated for noise-free connectivity and long life. On the other hand, they are equipped with 99.99% oxygen free copper conductors for more reliable signal transfer.

All QED Connect cables will be launched in various lengths and the entire range will be presented with a minimal and fully biodegradable packaging, this being a way to save costs. The new range is made up of stereo audio cables, antenna cables, digital cables, HDMI cables, speaker cable and even USB cables. QED has also included some adapters within the range, such as the usual RCA to jack or 3.5mm to 6.3mm jack converters, among others.

So that you have the most complete information, we are going to take a look at the cables that make up the new QED Connect range. In the part of stereo wires we have:

  • Phono to Phono cable (0.75, 1.5 and 3 meters)
  • 3.5mm Jack to Phono Cable (0.75, 1.5 and 3 meters)
  • 3.5mm Jack to Jack cable (1 and 3 meters)
  • 3.5 mm extension cable (1.5 and 3 meters)

In the part of video and audio we have:

  • Antenna cable (1.5 and 3 meters)
  • HDMI 2.0 (1.5 and 3 meters)
  • Optical cable (1.5 and 3 meters)
  • Subwoofer cable (3 and 6 meters)
  • Speaker cable (6 meters)

The manufacturer has also released a nice collection of USB cables:

  • USB A to USB C cable (0.75 and 1.5 meters)
  • USB A to USB B cable (0.75 and 1.5 meters)
  • USB A(F) to USB C cable (0.15 and 0.75 meters)
  • USB C cable (0.15 and 0.75 meters)
  • USB C to Micro USB B cable (0.15 and 0.75 meters)

Finally, the QED Connect range also has a series of adapters for various uses:

As for the prices of the new range QED Connect, have not yet been officially confirmed in Europe. But to give you an idea we can tell you that, for example, HDMI cables start at 14 pounds. We will have to wait to know its price in euros.
