QNAP introduces the QuCPE-303x series, we see its keys

QNAP has expanded its portfolio of network virtualization solutions with the QuCPE-303x series, consisting of models QuCPE-3032 and QuCPE-3034both compatible with the QNE Network software-defined platform total solution.

The QuCPE-303x family incorporates the virtualization of network functions, SD-WAN QuWAN and AMIZ Cloud management platform with Intel hardware network acceleration technologies and cybersecurity features. This enables managed service providers, system integrators, and enterprise IT staff to remotely deploy an agile and reliable next-generation multi-site virtualized infrastructure through zero-touch provisioning with minimal TCO.

Titan Hsieh, Product Manager at QNAP commented:

“QNAP’s goal is to create a modern IT room with lightweight, affordable and agile features. Using VM/VNF/Container technology, a QuCPE with the complete QNE Network software-defined platform solution replaces dedicated network hardware and transforms traditional IT rooms into revolutionary virtualized IT rooms. Small businesses and micro businesses can flexibly create a multi-site network infrastructure implementing the QuCPE Series 7 in its facilities, and the affordable QuCPE Series 3 in its branches and workplaces.”

The QuCPE-3034 It is equipped with an eight-core Intel Atom Refresh C3758R processor, 16 GB of DDR4 memory, eight 2.5GbE RJ45 ports and four 10GbE SFP+ fiber ports; and the QuCPE-3032 It is equipped with an Intel Atom Refresh C3558R quad-core processor, 8GB of DDR4 memory, eight 2.5GbE RJ45 ports, and two 10GbE SFP+ fiber ports.

The QuCPE-303x series includes two M.2 SSD slots for high-bandwidth VM/VNF and multitasking business applications. Intel QAT, Smart NIC SR-IOV, and DPDK hardware network acceleration technologies also improve bandwidth and computing performance for virtualization, or VPN and SD-WAN transmission efficiency.

Both models use the QNE Network OS for VNFs, VMs, and containers, and make it easy to deploy a virtual network in just 5 minutes using Network Service Composer, a solution that includes a visualized and service chain topology. The QNE Network operating system incorporates QuWAN SD-WAN and the AMIZ Cloud solution, as we have already anticipated, not only to help IT staff to configure an encrypted multi-site Mesh VPN, but also to optimize the transmission bandwidth to via the cloud, enabling remote deployment and management of multi-site edge devices, hosted VMs, and containerized applications.

QNAP QuTScloud is a virtual appliance based on QTS operating system for QNAP NAS, and can be run as a virtual NAS by installing it on the QuCPE-303x. With HybridMount, the QuCPE-303x can mount cloud storages to a virtual NAS and connect with other QNAP NAS with more storage space to store virtual service data. The QuCPE-303x also provides an advanced Security Center and military-grade anti-tampering system to ensure highly secure network and virtual system operation.
