Quero Automation becomes a technological partner of Ekon

Quero Automation has just reached an agreement with the Spanish company expert in cloud solutions for SMEs, Ekon, to become his technology partner.

Founded in 1988 and with 32 employees, Quero Automation is a company specialized in international distribution via exchange and has a catalog of more than 300,000 references. In addition, it offers its customers four different solutions for the same supply need: new, reconditioned, exchange or repair of your equipment. In this way, its offer includes automation products from the main brands on the market and obsolete equipment for which the manufacturers no longer support or where obtaining the part is almost impossible because it is no longer marketed.

Until the arrival of Ekon, Quero Automation had a business management tool that it lacked a marketing and CRM module and that it did not integrate the basic monitoring and deployment actions. Nor did it produce quality reports and its data could contain continuity errors; which forced to take the accounting area from an external system. Finally, the operations department used a lot of time and resources to carry out simple processes. Ultimately, as pointed out Arlinton Zuluaga, company corporate strategy coordinator “We were working with an ERP that was not adapted to our needs because it was neither scalable nor customizable”.

Four Ekon cloud ERP modules

To meet these needs and after a nine-month selection process, Quero Automation has relied on Ekon and your partner Dragomar, who have begun the implementation, in a first phase, of four modules of their ERP. These are operational and process, CRM, projects, and finance.

The objective is to articulate everything in the same environment where, according to Arlinton Zuluaga, “Ekon ERP will allow us to save time in future and consecutive processes, better control errors, and thus gain time to dedicate ourselves to what we know how to do best.”

What’s more, “Ekon offers us a balance between standard features, possible customization, market support and price accessibility”, points out the Corporate Strategy Coordinator. And all this in the cloud, joining Quero Automation to the thousands of customers who already enjoy the advantages of Ekon Cloud Computing, especially in ERP update and security processes.

Access to 300,000 references without stock in the warehouse

The ERP implemented by Ekon and Dragomar for Quero Automation includes the possibility of exchange damaged parts for other 100% functional ones, allowing the customer to save up to 85% of the cost of the new part, promoting, according to Arlinton Zuluaga, “the circular economy” since it is an exchange process, in which the client receives but also delivers a piece “It is an advantage that not all ERPs have, especially because they are designed for processes that go in one direction”.

Another of the challenges to which Ekon ERP responds, in a logistics environment as complicated as the current one, is to be able to offer a specific customer a product from among more than 300,000 references, without the need to have physical stock in the warehouse. Therefore, the differentiating element in the implementation has been to provide Quero Automation with tools to speed up user tasks exponentially.

In this operation it is essential to be able to locate and manage thousands of items and their types quickly and effectively. The user now has a very simple and fast tool for very complex management and with all the capabilities of a large ERP such as Ekon. As Arlinton Zuluaga details, “If we have a 20% savings in man hours that we hope to find, our 2022 target can be more easily achieved. An objective that complies with the growth KPI that we have proposed for this year”.
