Of course, to understand it, surely it is best to remember that Koduri arrived at Intel in November 2017 as chief architect and leader of the Core and Visual Computing group, with the task of directing the development of graphics adapters.
So we must remember that the company’s recent experience in this market has not been easyespecially if we look at the multiple problems experienced by Alchemist, the first generation of Intel Arc, the company’s ambitious plan to return to the dedicated graphics market, and that due to a set of problems in this first generation has been left behind. below the impact the company aspired to have in that market.
To this day, Intel claims that maintains its plans regarding future generations of Intel ArcStarting with Battlemage, which, according to some leaks, would greatly improve what Alchemist offers, and which will later be succeeded by Celestial, and this in turn by Druid. However, and although it maintains the plans, the restructuring undertaken by Intel in December of last year can be understood, at the same time, as a cut in Koduri’s powers and in the resources that it intends to allocate to Intel Arc.

However, what we are most interested in knowing is what will happen with Intel Arc Battlemage. The output of Koduri can have many readings in this sense, from a cancellation, a recurring rumor in the still brief history of Intel Arc, to major changes that give this second generation all the shine that the first one lacked.
