Razer Introduces the BlackWidow V4 Pro, the “Ultimate” Keyboard for Gamers

The BlackWidow V4 Pro is the culmination of the gaming keyboard series that debuted nearly 13 years ago that truly established Razer in the spotlight among manufacturers of high-performance peripherals. Personally, it is the series that I like the most of all the models that the manufacturer has, as you could see in the analysis of the previous version.

The BlackWidow V4 Pro goes a step further and you will not be wrong if you bet on it because we are facing a “pure” mechanical keyboard Packed with features for gamers and PC enthusiasts to enhance their gaming experience. The keyboard offers a full-size plus the extra of a number pad with an aluminum frame and dual-angle kickstands. Includes a plush synthetic leather magnetic wrist rest for added comfort of use.

Includes double-layer ABS keys, with the latest generation of Razer mechanical switches, served in two options, Green Clicky for tactile response or Yellow Linear switches for smoother, quieter action. Razer ensures a life cycle of up to 100 million keystrokes. Its polling rate goes up to 8,000 Hz.

Like all Razer keyboards, the BlackWidow V4 Pro is designed for total immersion through the Chroma RGB lighting technology. It has individual lighting per key, amplified by lighting through the transparent casing of its switches, for a brighter and more powerful effect. This is amplified by lower lighting in 38 zones, which also extends to the palm rest. Users can sync their compatible devices with the Razer Chroma RGB app and via the Razer Synapse 3 app with those from third-party manufacturers. There are over 200 games integrated with Chroma, where RGB lighting reacts based on actions or situations that happen in the game.

BlackWidow V4 Pro, more control

Another outstanding component is a Control Dial that provides advanced controls and shortcuts for applications and video games. It has 8 preset default modes, from zooming a browser window to switching browser tabs. In addition, users can schedule the day with up to 100 custom modes, allowing them to assign the day’s action clockwise or counterclockwise to their preferred action. For everyday use, users can schedule multiple app shortcuts, such as Photoshop brush size adjustment, timeline scrolling, and more.

Each mode can be toggled with a simple click of the Command Dial, and is easily identified by the dial’s color-coded backlight. In addition, there are 5 dedicated macro keys that allow you to execute complex actions with the press of a button during the most intense moments of games, and another 3 side keys totaling 8 macro keys. It also has 4 dedicated buttons for multimedia media control.

Say that this keyboard has two USB-C ports and one USB-A port. The first USB-C port is the one that allows you to connect it to your computer. But the second USB-C port acts as a pass-through for the USB-A connector, to which you can connect a mouse, USB drive, or other accessory.

The Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro is available at Razer.com, manufacturer stores, and Razer-authorized retailers. €269.99. The ultimate gaming keyboard? It’s not cheap, but it looks great.
