Realme has officially confirmed that it will attend the MWC show on February 28. On the occasion of this major event for the telephony market, the Chinese manufacturer intends to announce the fastest charging technology in the world.
On February 28, Realme will unveil a new fast charging technology. According to the Chinese manufacturer, it would be the fastest in the world. At present, it is Xiaomi which dominates the market in this field. For appeal, the Chinese manufacturer had lifted the veil last year on the fastest technology, Hypercharge. This promises to charge a smartphone with a 4000 mAh battery in just 8 minutes, thanks to a maximum power of 200 W.
For its part, Realme had only presented its 125W “UltraDart” fast recharge. Although it is extremely efficient, it does not come close to Xiaomi’s technology. However, it should be noted that neither of the two technologies mentioned above has yet been integrated into a smartphone. The next technology that Realme intends to present at the MWC could also take time to marketand may not be available until next year.
Soon a smartphone with 200W fast charging at Realme
Just a few days before the presentation, our colleagues from Gizmochina have already spotted the new charger that Realme will introduce at MWC and its model number: VCK8HACH. It seems to be a power adapter offering a maximum power of 200 W (20V-10A), suggesting that Realme is going to go straight for its main competitor.
We can therefore expect Realme’s 200 W fast charging to be able to fully charge a smartphone with a 4000 mAh battery in less than 7 minutes. The text on the charger also confirms the USB PD (Power Delivery) support, but it is limited to 45W (15V-3A, 20V-2.25A).
While waiting for new information on Realme’s new technology, we recently learned that the manufacturer was planning to soon present a smartphone with 150 W fast charging, so it is not impossible that it will also mention this technology during its conference.
