At the MWC in Barcelona, Realme presented televisions that will soon be sold in France at a knockdown price. But what should we expect from a TV that costs no more than a simple tablet?
Well known for its smartphones with excellent value for money, Realme does not intend to rest on its laurels! Like a Xiaomi, the manufacturer, which belongs to the BBK group in the same way as Oppo or OnePlus, is increasing its diversification. At the big mobility fair, the MWC in Barcelona, Realme announced its GT 2 smartphones, headphones, a laptop and also two smart TVs from 250 euros.

A 32-inch smart TV at 249.99 euros
For this price, this small 32-inch model seduces with its design with relatively thin edges. This is a fairly basic Android TV model, for which Realme advertises an LCD panel with a field of view of 178 degrees and a brightness of 400 nits.
It doesn’t send as much of a dream as an OLED or even QLED TV, but in a bedroom it can be an attractive lower-cost option. The manufacturer indicates that the colors are boosted by its Chroma engine and that the TV works with a Mediatek processor four cores at 1 GHz. The TV is also equipped with 4 x 24W stereo speakers.
A 4K connected TV for less than 500 euros
Realme has not provided much information on this 50-inch model intended to find its place in a living room. Among the few elements of the technical sheet, we note a premium design with ultra-thin edges, operation with the latest version of Android TV (do we mean by that Google TV?), voice control, and above all a 4K Dolby Vision display with a Dolby Atmos sound system. As a smart TV, this model will of course give access to all the usual content, from Netflix to Amazon Prime. A priori, but to reconfirm, it would be an LCD panel…
Without knowing more about this Realme novelty, it is difficult to form an opinion. In an equivalent size, there are QLED TCL at 600 euros and Samsung at 750 euros, which can give food for thought. We therefore expect a little more information and especially the test of this smart TV.
