Netflix with advertising would cost between 7 and 9 euros
The economic news agency Bloomberg has published many details on a new formula still under study at Netflix: the subscription with advertising. The idea is simple. A normal Netflix subscriber can consume as much video as they want, ad-free. A subscriber to the new format would be in the same situation with only one difference: advertisements will be inserted into the programs. According to Bloomberg, the ad represents 4 minutes per hour viewed, i.e. 6.7% of the time. This formula would cost between 7 and 9 euros per month, against 13.5 euros for the subscription without advertising. And the launch could take place at the end of 2022.
