Report@ is born, a startup to manage mandatory reporting channels

The complaints channel is already an obligation in Spain for certain companies, as Estela Martín told us in this video. However, more than 10,000 Spanish companies they don’t have this tool that guarantees the anonymity, confidentiality and protection of the informant against reprisals. This problem is also accentuated among SMEs, which will be forced to create a department to manage this information channel in terms of compliance.

This situation is aggravated by the recent approval of the Law regulating the protection of persons who report violations of regulations and the fight against corruption in the Senate, which obligesto companies from 50 employees to have platforms and channels for the management of complaints by them, guaranteeing their anonymity and enabling access to third parties.

Given this scenario, born Report@, a company that offers a comprehensive management service for reporting channels, from its technological implementation to the investigation of requests. In this way, and according to internal company studies, the processing of anonymous complaints is favored through technological tools that allow these more than 10,000 companies that still do not have the necessary tools to maintain confidential communications with the anonymous informant.

Leading the project is Manuel QuintanarFormer Director of Integrity of LaLiga and Professor of Criminal Law at the Complutense University, who declares that “With this initiative, we provide a necessary service to those companies that do not have the resources to assume the new system internally and safely, helping them in the process of adapting to the new regulations through a simple, complete and efficient channel, developed thanks to to state-of-the-art technology”.
