There you go, the MWC 2022 has finally closed its doors and it’s time to take stock of this first post-pandemic edition and yes, it’s the shows!
Here, we still remember, we were on the return of the presentation of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Series lights in San Francisco in the United States when we learned that the MWC 2020 was not going to take place because of the pandemic we are experiencing.
So it’s been 3 years since we went to the MWC and yes, we can say it, what a pleasure to find a real living room. So yes, it was done with the masks but we were treated to real stands. We were already far from CES 2022, which had the security card with ultra-empty stands. If we continue on this voice, needless to say that 2022 will be the real return of all shows and yes, we are happy.
Half full or half empty
Normally, the MWCit was 13 halls filled to the Fira Gran Via but recovery requires, only 7 halls were filled. And again, we were far from the filling of the Roaring Twenties. Certain spaces in Hall 3, for example, had not found takers. As a result, the organizers have transformed them into a space for networking or resting. Quite honestly, it wasn’t so bad. When you take more than 15,000 steps per living room day, being able to rest a little and catch your breath is not a luxury.

If the big ones like Samsung or Oppo had already announced their flagship products for this year, the MWC 2022 was rich in announcements with Honor, Realme, Poco, Huawei, Lenovo, TCL and even Samsung and Oppo who gave a layer. .
But the weirdest thing is that if the MWC is synonymous with mobility and therefore somewhere with smartphones, there have been a lot of announcements of laptop computers, such as the announcements of Huawei, Samsung or even Lenovo and Nokia were able to find echo without being drowned with historical PC manufacturers like Asus, Acer, Dell or even HP.
Finally
Because it was a cover edition, we weren’t able to discover so many prototypes or concepts compared to the years before, but there were still some like the CyberDog from Xiaomi or the Air Glass from Oppo.
the MWC 2022 won’t go down in history except to remember that this is our first real post-COVID show. Now, we can’t hide our joy at having been able to tread the Fira Gran Via again, to walk more than necessary, to enjoy the Mediterranean sun and tapas.
And yes, strongly next year for the MWC 2023
