You may not be aware but on the other side of the pond, in the fun city of Las Vegas, the CES 2023. This technological event brings together the main brands in the sector to present many of the products that we will see in stores throughout the year, so it should not surprise you to see an increase in the number of announcements during these days. Proof of this is the news that concerns us now: the coming-out of the new and powerful Roborock 8 Serieswhich has renewed its entire range to present up to 4 different models of vacuum cleaners Take note because they are not wasted.
S8, S8+ and S8 Pro Ultra, Roborock’s new robots
After the good results that the S7 Series has given to Roborock, it was to be expected that the Asian brand would soon bet on renewing its equipment. And so it has done in the particular city of Las Vegas. The company has announced that it already has three new robot vacuum cleaners (the S8, S8+ and S8 Pro Ultra), which have a number of features in common such as, for example, greater suction power, raising its maximum power to 6,000 Pa. They also come with a new brush with a double rubber roller (the so-called DuoRoller Brush) which, in the case of the Pro Ultra model, automatically lifts up to 6mm both in scrubbing mode and when it returns to the base.
The entire 8 Series is equipped with its great obstacle recognition and avoidance system -without a doubt, one of the qualities that we liked the most when we tested the 7 Series-, but in the case of the Pro Ultra version it has additions interesting cleaning features, such as two vibration modules for better scrubbing and a new hot air drying function which is responsible for preventing the growth of mold and odors on the mop pad.
As you can imagine from the names, the S8 model is the one that is just a robot vacuum cleaner; the S8+ comes with a dust discharge base; and the S8 Pro Ultra -under these lines- brings the “complete” kit, that is, a base for dust discharge, cleaning and disposal of dirty water. For the rest, they are the same (they even make the same noise), so it will be a matter of taste, space at home and/or your budget.
If you are already thinking of giving it a try, know that all the models will be available for purchase in this first half of the year with the S8 at a price from 699 euros; the S8+ model at 899 euros and the S8 Pro Ultra at 1,499 euros.
Dyad Pro, the new cordless handheld vacuum cleaner for wet and dry
In addition to the aforementioned robots, the company has also announced a broom-type vacuum cleaner. Without cable and that works both dry and wet. In this way, it has a suction power of 17,000 Pa -raises the bar compared to the Dyad model that we already knew- and the ability to scrub, intelligently managing the water flow for more effective cleaning.
It is accompanied by a base in which its rollers are automatically cleaned followed by a automatic drying to avoid odors and bacteria. In the upper grip area you can see a screen in color indicating the battery and working power.
Modern in design -although it looks somewhat bulky, we will have to see it live to find out for sure-, it is a quite interesting solution and one that could offer very good results if it copies the good work of its brothers.
The Dyad Pro also already has date and price market release: it will be available in the first half of the year and its price will be 449 euros.
