Salesforce becomes a Slack First company

In recent months, Salesforce has worked hard to make Slack not just another collaboration solution, but at the heart of much of the products it offers to its customers. And it is that as we will see below and as explained yesterday Enrique Polo de Lara, Senior Vice President and Country Leader of Salesforce Iberia, in a meeting with the media, in many respects Salesforce is becoming a “Slack First” company.

Maintaining its character as an independent application and allowing teams around the world to collaborate and communicate, Slack has also been integrated into the main cloud services offered from Salesforce, such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Commerce Cloud.

All of them remain under the umbrella of Customer 360, a great platform that unifies capabilities of the main Salesforce products and that is renewed with Slack-First Customer 360 for sales, services, marketing, commerce, analytics and many other services. Thus, Slack becomes the meeting point that allows everyone in an organization to communicate, collaborate, and act on information from Salesforce and all the other applications, systems, and partners they use.

Sales Cloud

Slack-First Sales enables sales teams to collaborate in real time to close more deals, faster, from anywhere. Thanks to the digital trading rooms (digital deal rooms) Sales reps can now access, update, and share Salesforce records directly in Slack.

Service Cloud

Slack-First Service enables customer service teams to automatically identify the right experts for each case. The new capabilities of swarming and Expert Finder enable cross-functional teams to collaborate on issues to resolve customer cases more efficiently and effectively.

Marketing Cloud

Slack-First Marketing enables marketing teams and agency partners to collaborate in a shared digital workspace.

Marketers can now accelerate processes with Einstein recommendations in Slack, and Pardot automation enables all departments to collaborate with a single, shared view of the customer.

Commerce Cloud

Slack-First Commerce helps teams gain a deeper understanding of their business, adapt to changing trends, and connect with their customers and colleagues.

New alert capabilities allow teams to stay ahead of business trends and quickly resolve order issues.

Along with the above, the company has strengthened Slack integrations in platform services, training (Trailhead), analytics (Tableau), Mulesoft, Quip and Salesforce Sustainability Cloud, as well as in its sector solutions for banking, healthcare, education and solutions for NGOs.

Digital Headquarters

Along with a greater integration of Slack in the company’s products, starting with its latest Dreamforce, Salesforce have wanted to emphasize what they have dubbed as «Digital Headquarters». As explained by Pau Contreras, Vice President of Solution Engineering at Salesforce Iberia, at Sede Digital “technologies that allow integrating business applications with collaborative work solutions are combined, allowing companies to face the demands of a hybrid world , so that they can achieve their goals from anywhere “.

In that Digital Headquarters, that commitment to Slack that we have already reviewed, together with the artificial intelligence engine, joins Einstein and the architecture Hyperforce. In the last Dreamforce the company has also presented news for both platforms.

In Einstein’s case, new features for Einstein Automate stand out, including capabilities for Robotic Process Automation (RPA), AI, and automated experiences to help each Salesforce customer build a more automated workflow from start to finish. .

As for Hyperforce, the company has announced the opening of an operational zone in the EU. Hyperforce’s EU Operational Zone will allow its clients, both private and public, not only to store their data in the EU, but also to ensure that the entire data process occurs with EU-resident personnel.

Other interesting news coming from this year’s great Salesforce event have been a Health Cloud 2.0 designed so that companies and public administrations can offer better health and safety to their employees or Salesforce CDP, which now allows unifying data from different sources and becomes a unified data repository for all Salesforce solutions.
