Salvador Cayón, new Channel Director of HP Iberia

H.P. has named Channel Director for the Iberia region in Salvador Cayón, who comes to the position after eight years as Sales Director of the retail channel. For a year he was also responsible for the company’s transactional channel business in the region. Cayon replaces Javier García Garzón in the positionwho after 36 years in the company will leave it to embark on a new path.

Salvador Cayón has a degree in physical sciences from the University of Cantabria, specializing in electronics. In addition, he has postgraduate studies in economics from the Autonomous University of Madrid and a postgraduate degree in innovation and leadership from Stanford University. Likewise, he has completed the Advanced Sales Management Program at the Instituto de Empresa.

He has more than 25 years of experience in the sector, and more than 18 years ago he joined the HP workforce. He has extensive experience in various areas, such as sales, marketing, category and business management. This experience has led him to focus HP’s digital transformation towards omnichannel and contractual models. Among the positions that Cayón has held at HP is that of Marketing Director of HP Iberia, which he held for a decade.

As for Javier García Garzón, in addition to being responsible for important advances in the HP channel in Iberia, he has contributed significantly to the development of the company’s channel strategy in Southern Europe. He also participated in the large account business in Iberia after its merger with Compaq.

In addition to his contribution to the company in the professional field, he has also dedicated himself to promoting talent at HP, through the creation of solid teams. In addition, he has served as a link between different businesses and departments.

Due to this appointment to replace him, the commercial channel team will now be under the responsibility of Salvador Cayón, who under his supervision he will have the commercial, transactional and retail channels.
